A symphony that spans the epochs,

As we unearth and release,

Pent-up traumas, silent griefs,

Anger buried deep,

Melancholy muted beneath

The layers of our modern selves.

Through the rhythm of our bodies,

Our voices, intonations born from within,

The gentle drumbeat of the chest,

The soft stomp of the feet,

We embark on a journey of movement, of libation,

A sacred dance of self-discovery,

Where somatic release unfolds in waves,

Healing the deep-seated pain,

Softening the edges of sorrow,

Into a profound renewal, a liberation.

In the warmth of our circle,

We gather for a cup of chai ☕️

As we share, as we listen,

Our stories blending with the steam,

Our voices melding in the air.

Adnan Love, born of the Indian subcontinent,

With roots in the Hashemite tribes of Arabia,

Persian ancestry from the Sufi mystic SHAMSi of Tabriz,

Who danced in spirals with RUMI,

And the Shi’ite mourning,

Where the drum culture of Dhol beats on,

And the communal sharing of chai,

Sustains the spirit, strengthens the soul.
