About
Adnan Shamsi, also known as LOVE TheYogaGuy, is a multifaceted professional who bridges the worlds of music, yoga, and mental health. As the founder of Naked Feet Events, EcstaticDanceJersey, Fyrefly Yoga Collective, and co-creator of the annual RainbowMoon Festival in Central New Jersey, Adnan has been curating immersive events in yoga and dance for over a decade, fostering spaces that encourage vulnerability and community connection.
Under the stage name NEURODIVE, Adnan performs electronic dance music that pays homage to his neurodivergent identity and his rich Arabian, Indian, and Punjabi Pakistani heritage. His music prominently features the sounds of Dhol and Dholak drums, blending genres like psy-trance, drum and bass, and hip hop with the influences of Punjabi Bhangra, Urdu ghazals, Sanskrit Kirtan, Hindi Bollywood, and Native American spirituals and chants. This unique mix reflects his passion for uncovering new musical landscapes and creating dynamic soundscapes.
Adnan is also a trained DBSA mental health group facilitator, leveraging his expertise to create “brave spaces” at EcstaticDanceJersey events. These gatherings, held at venues like 10PRL in Long Branch, NJ, Seraphi in Philadelphia, PA, and many festivals, including Beardfest, Anahata’s Purpose, and FractalFest, have been celebrated for their sense of community and healing, both before and after the COVID pandemic.
With over 20 years of experience in yoga, meditation, and Reiki, Adnan is committed to helping others achieve their aspirations and improve their mental and physical wellness. As a hands-on assisted stretch practitioner at StretchLab, he integrates somatic and emotional support techniques, including assisted stretching and breathwork, to promote overall well-being. He believes in fostering personal growth by engaging in self-work, walking through discomfort toward catharsis, and avoiding spiritual bypass.
Adnan’s approach to teaching is deeply rooted in compassionate listening, empowering his clients to achieve their personal goals. He advocates for greater freedom of movement and expression through somatic experiences like yoga, aerial arts, laughter, and human connection. His passion extends to students of all ages; he has taught yoga and aerial skills to kids and teens, fitness to adults and seniors, and guided meditation to people from all walks of life.
As a neurodivergent father of an autistic adult son, Adnan brings empathy and understanding to his work with children, teens, and adults. He creates inclusive spaces for men’s circles, LGBTQIA+ groups, and the autism community. He is also the founder of the Good Life Book Club.
Adnan is certified in yoga, aerial, and Reiki and is a certified mental health group facilitator. He holds degrees in Economics, Business, and Finance from Rutgers University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University.
